The Poway Unified School District developed a statement of equity and inclusion resulting from an intentional and collaborative process with all stakeholders. In alignment with the school district’s statement and commitment, the Poway Unified School District Foundation has developed the following statement of equity and inclusion:

In partnership with the Poway Unified School District, we strive to ensure that every student—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, language, ability, or background—has equitable access to the resources, programs, services, and opportunities necessary for success. We are dedicated to addressing systemic barriers and creating pathways that promote fairness, respect, and opportunity for all students.

The Poway Unified School District Foundation Board of Directors is committed to rejecting discrimination and embracing the understanding and accepting of others.
Poway Unified School District Foundation does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, the appointment to and termination from its Board of Directors, hiring and firing of staff or contractors, selection of volunteers, selection of vendors, and provision of services.
