Project Fair and Share

The mission of the Poway Unified School District Foundation is to provide funding, resources, support, and opportunities for PUSD programs including STEAM initiatives across the District. The generous donations and support from community partners like you fuel our capability to offer an array of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) programs to all students in the district. Although the district receives some funding from the state, it is not near enough to offer the depth of programming that all 35,000+ students can benefit from. Our students flourish in the STEAM programs, activities and opportunities, and your gift helps assure that we can continue this for all students.

The PUSD Foundation's Project Fair & Share campaign aims to level-up funding to ensure high quality standard experiences to students in schools across the district, regardless of financial ability to pay. Some of the many examples are listed below.

Ensure that any students who want to participate in academic and leadership experiences, such as FIRST Robotics, Science Olympiad, CyberPatriot, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) have the ability to do so regardless of student ability to pay costs.
Ensure that all elementary school 5th graders experience Junior Achievement BizTown by assisting with busing costs and fees to participate, regardless what their school site budget can provide.
Ensure that all elementary students can access high quality Project Lead the Way Launch engineering curriculum by paying for teacher training and costs for supplies that go beyond what school site budgets can afford.
Host and cover the costs of PUSD Middle and High School College and Career Fairs to ensure that students and families who have little access can attend get in-person information about education and training for careers after high school right here in PUSD.
Assist in funding supplies and professional kitchen equipment for career exploration & training for students with disabilities such as with our Abraxas High School Kitchen tABLE program.
Ensure that teachers at all school sites have access to high quality professional development opportunities to serve the children in their schools with high degrees of efficacy and with needed supplies and equipment, beyond what their school site budget can provide.
Pay the cost for busing students to college visits and trade & industry tours to help expose students to opportunities beyond the classroom and beyond high school, especially for students whose families cannot provide these experiences on their own.
Pay for STEM supplies for students across the system to use in the classroom to ensure a high quality experience that is beyond the ability of school site budgets to supply.
